I am looking for info on my father Lawrence Cline he lived with Andy and Octavia or Tavy Cline in what we called War Eagle. I believe his mothers name was Gladys Cline (she may have lived in Texas). My father also had a sister Barbara that married Delmas Lusk. My father married my mother Clara Goodman. They had 6 children: Melissia Elaine, Naomi Marie, Marsha Lynn, Eva Renea, Timothy Lawrence and Christopher Dean. We learned from the Social Security office that my father was deceased in 1996 but have no other info on him since my parents divorced when I was 12 years old. I would also like to find info on the Goodman side of the family the names I remember are Artie Goodman (he owned a little store), Johnny Goodman, Clara Goodman Cline, Mauldie Goodman Mounts (I believe her husband's name was Wess Mounts), Hallie Goodman Trent her husband is Clerance Trent. I believe my grandmothers name was Mary. Any help would be appreciated we live in Seoul South Korea (my husband i! ! s an engineer for the US Army and is stationed here) and getting infor is extremely hard for me not only because of the miles but also because of the time difference, when I am awake everybody in the US is sleeping so even phone calls are a problem. And a lot of things on the internet are not accessable (I guess being in a foreign country). But thank GOD for email I usually get all email messages. We also have an Army Post Office (APO) box which is just like sending mail to anywhere in the US all you need is a stamp (which I will gladly refund your stamp). My gggrandmother was Elizabeth "Betty" Mounts married to Alexander Trent. She is the d/o David Mounts and Margaret "Peggy" Cline. Apparently, on the internet, everyone researching this family has hit a wall at David Mounts. Is there anyone with information on David Mounts. Capt. James Adair apparently signed a marriage bond for surety for David on April 5, 1809 to marry Margaret Cline (d/o Peter Cline). My grandmother, Mina Pearl Browning Burgess will turn 100 on July 5, 2001 and I am just beginning to research my genealogy. She was the oldest of twelve children born to Allen and Emily Browning at Pie, WV. Allen was a carpenter and circuit-riding minister. They were close neighbors to "Devil" Anse Hatfield and she used to clean his house. She and her father also sang at his funeral. There are many family members buried in a Browning cemetery in Mingo County. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Also, I work at the WV State Capital and would be willing to do a reasonable amount of research in exchange for information.

Soloman (b Sep 1840 s/o Thos))and Ladocia Louise Brown Shelton JEWELL (b 1861 NC d/o Noah & Nancy Duggins BROWN)were known to be in area by 1895 and show up in 1910-1920 census in Lee District on Tug River Rd. Known children were Ollie J (female b 1872), Noah b abt 1874, Wm R b abt 1876, Phebe E b abt 1879, and Grover. Census data shows 6 of 9 children living. Son Noah appears to have married 1895 Frances WHITE who is deceased by 1900. One son married Lottie ?, and William R. married Florence ? and has a son Wallace S. b abt 1906. The family lived previously in Ky. and has relatives in Tazewell County, Va. and surrounding counties. Soloman appears in death register dying March 1920 in Chattaroy. Looking on information on Elliott Murphy Sr. some say he was raised by Adkins. He lived in Mingo Co, & Logan Co, W.VA, & Pike Co.& Greenup Co KY. He was a retired coal miner & Minster.
