JULY 2, 1917 - WESTBROOK-MATHENY - Tuesday evening at the parsonage of the Baptist church Miss Cora Matheny and Mr. Alfred Westbrook, two well known young people of the city, were united in marriage, Rev. A. S. Carman officiating. The attendants were Bertha Matheny and Scott Davis, Mrs. Westbrook has been employed in Marietta for some time and she and her husband have made many friends here.They will reside at Akron, where Mr. Westbrook has a position with one of the rubber factories.

ROSEMAN M. MATHENY, Elizabeth R. D. 3, died suddenly in his home Saturday, Jan 22, 1955. - Born at St. Marys, W. Va., March 31, 1898, he was a son of the late P. S. [P. F.] and Nancy Vincent Matheny. He was chief engineer of the Peoples Natural Gas Company, Wall Station, Elizabeth. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., Wellersbrug Lodge, and Past Master of the Penn Grange. - Survivors include his wife, Mae Tennant Matheny; one son, Pvt. Donald R. Matheny, Ft. Monmouth, N.J.; one brother, J. P. Matheny, Bellmont, W. Va., and four sisters, Mrs. Molly Bell, Mrs. Florence Welling and Mrs. Laura Bloir, all of St. Marys, and Mrs. Cora Westbrook, Bentleyville. Two grandchilden also survive.
