ROSE/MOSS/PERSINGER - I am looking for information regarding my grandfather, Thomas Wesley ROSE born 08 May 1882 and died 03 Jul 1943 in Monroe Co, WV. He was married 08 Mar 1923 in Peterstown, Monroe Co., WV to Ella Mae PERSINGER born 31 Jan 1898, Ella was the daughter of William PERSINGER and Rosa MOSS. However, I suspect that Thomas was married prior to his marriage with Ella. He had the following children from the first marriage: Foster, Nettie (married a Blackburn), Hattie (married a Smallwood), Emmett, Minnie (married a Bailey), Leonard. The following children he shared with Ella: Mary b 1919, Florence b 1921, Cecil b 1923, Helen b 1930, Effie JoAnn b 1932, Paul b 1934, Ernest b 1939, and Carl b 1942. I understand that Effie JoAnn was born in Hemphill, WV on 25 May 1932. I do not have any information regarding Thomas' parents, sibs, or previous wife. Nor do I have any information regarding the Persingers. Can anyone help me? Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated as I have hit a dead end with my grandfather.

Charles died at 10 months and Ervin appeared on the 1860 census only. William died in Roane Co. Sept. 13, 1890 and is buried on the Helmick farm. Does anyone know when Mary died and where she is buried? Whatever became of Ervin BRANNON? The first wife of William BRANNON was Catherine KING. She died in 1853. William served as Justice of the Peace and performed many marriages in the WV area.

Hoping to find any information at all on Fritz Proellochs (or Prellochs) and Marie Nicklesworth. Only information I have is that they were married and living in Brooke County (Power), WV in 1894 when their daughter, Lena, was born.

I am looking for the father of Jordan McCormick Sr. b 1802 in kanawha county, Va. or maby in Rockbridge coounty, Va. He had a son, Charles D. McCormick (1832-1922). I think his dad was Robert McCormick who was the youngest son of immigrant Thomas, made his home in Rockbridge and Augusta Counties, Va., as early as 1779. He was married in 1770 to Martha Sanderson and had six children. I can't prove this. Would like some help on Jordan McCormick Sr. Thanks

I am looking for information on the Rowe/Row/Roe family may have been in the area of Mason Co. in the early 1800's. I am mainly interested in Joseph ROWE/ROW/ROE and James ROWE/ROW/ROE Joseph was born in VA or NC in 1790, James may have been his father.
