I am seeking information regarding my grandfather, JOHN W. ENDICOTT who died in Woodford County, Kentucky on February 5, 1938 but is buried in Crum, WV. This would indicate to me that he still had some ties to Crum, perhaps some relatives still lived there. He apparently lived in Wayne County, WV in January of 1910 because my mother, FLORIDA ENDICOTT, was born there at that time. He was apparently married to ARMINTA DELONG ENDICOTT at that time but I believe he was married once before but I do not know his first wife's name. I would appreciate any information regarding JOHN W ENDICOTT or any of his family.

Re: HARRIS, George and Nancy, ca. 1770s. This couple are the parents of Barbara Harris FITZWATER (b. abt. 1796, d. 1868 Tucker Co.), who was married to John Fitzwater. This family is shown in Randolph County in 1850 and in Tucker County in the 1860 census. Barbara's death certificate states: "Parents: George & Nancy Harris, born in Hardy Co., VA/WV." In 1860, an 80 year old woman named Sarah HARRIS was residing with them. I have not seen the original census microfilm and therefore do not know Sarah's relationship to Barbara Harris. I have a hunch that this George Harris is a brother of Simeon HARRIS. I would like to hear from any others who are researching the Harris family in Hardy County or elsewhere. Thank you. I am tracing all Pegrams from common ancestor, Daniel Pegram of Williamsburg, Va. to date. Most Pegrams are still in N.C. but one family left shortly after the Civil War and is now in W. Va. I know they have a family bible that contains information covering late 1700s and early 1800s that is not available elsewhere. I anyone knows of ANY Pegrams in W. Va. I would appreciate if you could let me know - especially any member who might be interested in my project of tracing the Pegram family. Information can be submitted on my own webpage or just e-mail me.

I am researching the RICHEY, SIRON, SYRON and WILSON family trees. I am a descendent of Gilbert (Wilson) Siron. Each family was in West Virginia. I have been told that when Jane Wilson married Joseph Siron, Joseph adopted Jane's son Gilbert. Here's Jane's Family tree (that I know of so far) John Wilson had a son: William Wilson (a. 1730-1813) who married Mary. They had a son: James Wilson who married Elizabeth Hempenstall Their son: William Wilson (1767-?) married Mary Welch in 1805. Their girl: Jane Wilson (? -a. 1847) Married Joseph Siron. Already had a son Gilbert, but I do not know who the father is.

I'm looking for information about a member of the Hatfield clan who carried one (or possibly two) long-barrelled, pearl-handled Colt revolvers and who may have died in a shootout. My grandfather, a doctor who practiced medicine in West Virginia, passed on to me a Colt revolver which he said was given to him by a member of the Hatfield clan. This Hatfield, according to my grandfather, had been mortally wounded in a shootout and gave the Colt gun to my grandfather before he died. We are trying to establish the authenticity of this story. Any information is welcome. Thanks in advance! Phone: 802 496 7492. Address: PO Box 104, Waitsfield, VT 05673
