Parsons, John - Company G - enlisted 8 Nov 1861 Mud River - 5’11”tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair - born about 1838 Logan Co. VA - There is some confusion on John’s service record. One account has him being captured by rebels and sent to Fort Donelson where he was recaptured by Federal Forces and sent to Camp Douglas IL - The second account has him in prison at Camp Douglas where he died 3 Mar 1862
