Elizabeth C Agee

ATHENS - Elizabeth Cook Agee, 100, of 205 N. State St., died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2001, at Glenwood Retirement Village. Born Oct. 21, 1901, in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Jane Dixon Cook. Mrs. Agee was a member of Advent Christian Church, Princeton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Harvey Agee; and her eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Boyd H. Agee of Athens, Daniel H. Agee Jr. and his wife, Annie P., and Albert "Bill" Agee and his wife, Geraldine, all of Roanoke, Va., and Juanita Long and her husband, Jim, of Kings-port, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. today at Burns-Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton, with the Revs. Orville Harvey and Rob Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton. Friends called 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
