Obituaries for the Bradley Family

Larry G. Bradley

Larry Gene Bradley, 62, of Eccles, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. Born Dec. 16, 1938, at High Coal, he was the son of Howard Bradley of Eccles and the late Sa-die Cozart Bradley. Mr. Bradley enjoyed hunting and loved NASCAR. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Besides his father, survivors include four sons, Gary Ray Bradley and Claudia, of Scarbro, Rancy Dean Bradley and Pam, of Eccles, Howard Gene Bradley and Heidi, of Eccles, and Charles Wayne Bradley of Eccles; two daughters, Elizabeth Mae Hurlocker and husband, Richie, of Concord, N.C., Brenda Gay Bradley and Bo, of Eccles. Other survivors include two brothers, Danny Howard Bradley and Brenda of Raleigh and Donald Ray Bradley of Eccles; a sister, Brenda Mae Bradley Alverson of Greensboro, N.C.; and 15 grandchildren, Jeremy Bradley, Dana Bradley, Rebbeca Bradley, Caitlyn Bradley, Joseph and Candice Seletyn, Brandon Bradley, Cheyenne Bradley, Victoria Bradley, Joshua Snyder, Nicolas Bradley, Dakota Bradley, Derrick Lynch, Robert Lynch and Brittany Lynch; 14 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Rodney Allen and Pastor Robert Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Steven Robertson Jr., Larry Phillip Bradley, Harold Ray Bradley, Jeremy Lee Bradley, Brandon Michael Bradley and Donald Matthew Bradley. Arrangements by Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.

 

Brenda Kay Bradley

Brenda Kay Bradley, 33, of Raleigh, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at her home. Born April 2, 1968, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Norma Lee Bennett Adkins of Harper and the late Ralph Wick Adkins. Mrs. Bradley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing. Other survivors include her husband, Danny H. Bradley; a daughter, Tina Daff at home; a son, Danny Daff at home; a sister, Christine Lilly of Eccles; two brothers, Dennis Adkins of Eccles and Ralph Adkins Jr. of North Carolina; two half sisters, Lida Marie Wilson of Mount Hope and Barbara Sue of Iowa; and a half brother, Tracy Adkins of Mount Hope. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Kenneth Overdorf officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.

 

Nancy Pegram Bradley

Nancy Pegram Bradley, 58, of Coal City, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. Born July 19, 1943, in Jonben, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Rachel Pegram. Mrs. Bradley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Pegram. Survivors include her husband, Roy Hobert Bradley; a son, Randy Murphy and wife Debbie of Coal City; two stepsons, Jerry Bradley and wife Tami of Columbia, S.C., and Jim Bradley and wife Deb of Mooresville, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Pam Gogue and husband John of Columbia, S.C.; a grandson, Randy Murphy, III, of Coal City; seven step grandchildren, Colt, Jessica and Jared Bradley of Mooresville, N.C., Heather, Jordan and Emily Bradley of Columbia, S.C., and Scott Meadows of Chatmansboro, Tenn.; two brothers, Charles Pegram and wife Louise of Princewick and Steve Pegram of Jonben; and four sisters, Brenda Greer and husband Kenny of Fireco, Sharon Gordon and husband Dean of Coal City, Audry Norris of Jonben, and Helene Todd and husband James of Sullivan. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Jack Tankersley officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Curtis Gordon, Randy Murphy, III, Roy Smith, Jr., Jim Bradley, Jerry Bradley and John Gogue. Arrangements by Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
