Loretta Cook Burr

LANSING -- Loretta M. Cook Burr, 60, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, in a Lansing, Mich., hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 8, 1938, in Lansing, Mich., she was the daughter of Pauline A. Cook of Lansing, Mich., and the late Peter Cook. Mrs. Burr was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Mich., and a retail clerk at the Lansing Mall in Lansing. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lynn in 1955. Other survivors include her husband, Jerry R. Burr; a son, Douglas L. Burr and his wife, Rebecca, of Lansing; two sisters, Lucille Walker and her husband, Howdy, of East Lansing, Mich., and Doris Slater and her husband, Fred, of Lansing; two brothers, John Cook and his wife, Joyce, of Lansing, and William Cook of Okemos, Mich.; and a grandson, Jeremy D. Burr. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Brackens Creek United Methodist Church, Russellville, with the Rev. Michael Loudermilk officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery Hill Cemetery at Russellville. Friends may call 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted.
