Annie M. Cantiberry

LINDSIDE - Annie McDaniel Cantiberry, 99, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Springfield Center, Lindside. Born Nov. 15, 1901, in Lindside, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Peyton and Sarah McGhee McDaniel. Mrs. Cantiberry was a homemaker and a member of Lindside Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Earl Cantiberry; two sons, Paul West Cantiberry and Earl Cantiberry Jr.; four brothers, Cecil, Everette, Sherman and Opie McDaniel; and three sisters, Marjorie Coulter, Kate Pence and Ruth Maddy. Survivors include a son, Glenn Cantiberry and his wife, Wanza, of Lindside; a daughter, Anna Lee Nedrow and her husband, Lee, of Vienna, Va.; a brother, Marshall McDaniel and his wife, Bonnie, of Peterstown; a sister, Irene Halsombach and her husband, Max, of Newport News, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, with Minister Henry Conley and the Rev. Anthony Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Union. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown.
