Henry Wriston Must Serve Time
Raleigh Register - Thursday, 14 Apr 1921
Henry Wriston Must Serve Time for Murder of Emile Williams.
Henry Wriston charged with the murder of Emile Williams, fourteen year old son of Linus Williams, was found guilty in criminal court Tuesday afternoon of voluntary manslaughter, after the jury had deliberated for nearly twenty-four hours.
The trial which was the outgrowth of a shooting affray occurring on January 2nd, lasted for nine days, more than one hundred witnesses being heard during that time. The verdict means a sentence of from two to five years in the penitentiary at Moundsville.
The trial of Ira Wriston charged with shooting Linus Williams, father of the boy, is now going on. It is thought that this case will occupy about the same length of time as did the first trial.
