Margaret V. Criss

Margaret Virginia Criss, 83, of MacArthur, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Brenda Kirk, following a long illness. Born Oct. 20, 1917, in Oak Hill, she was the daughter of the late Elmer John and Virgie Treadway Haynes. Mrs. Criss was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Bryant, June Martin and Dorothy Neely; and a brother, Paul Haynes. Survivors include her husband, Willis G. Criss of Harvey; two daughters, Brenda J. Kirk and her husband, Tom, of MacArthur and Deanna S. Sulesky and her husband, Bill, of Hilltop; a sister, Ruth Nagy of Durham, N.C.; two brothers, Carlos Haynes and James Haynes, both of Oak Hill; three grandsons, Michael T. Law, William R. Sulesky II and Christopher Sulesky; and five great-grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Law, and Joshua, Cody and Brendon Sulesky. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
