Before we sit down this year and partake of our bountiful harvest,Let us remember Grandma and Mom who prepared our meals.
At times they fed more than you thought possible and had leftovers.Let us remember Grandpa and Dad who always carved the turkey and led us in prayer.
There is no family scene quite as moving, outside of childbirth, as that of loved ones holding hands with heads bowed.Let us welcome new family members to our table.
The newest in my family is Cindy Paxton Casto, my cousin Clifford's beautiful new bride.
Let us not forget the police officers, fire fighters and medical personnel who will be working.
Save the biggest piece of pumpkin pie for them.Leave an empty seat for the men and women, who are defending our country.
Call them if you are able and thank them for their service.
Remember those who are less fortunate.
Many people don't have family and others don't know their history.
We are truly blessed.![]()
