CYCLONE Hazel Faye Adkins, 56, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 2, 2001, in a Charleston hospital following heart surgery. Born Aug. 29, 1944, in Cyclone, she was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Weltha Jane Toler Walls. Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker, a member of Lacoma Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, James, Andrew and Sydney. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Gene Walls, on Aug. 7, 1977, and Billy Lee Walls, on Dec. 28, 1995. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Thomas Adkins; two sons, Thomas P. Adkins and his wife, Hope, of Clear Fork and David Adkins and his fiancee, Christina Brunty, of Cyclone; a daughter, Michelle Toler and her husband, Anthony, of Cyclone; a brother, Donald Paul Walls of Cyclone; four sisters, Mary Lou Phillips and her husband, Daniel, of Cyclone, Betty Ann Dean and her husband, Eugene, of Cyclone, Rema Sue Roach and her husband, John, of Oceana and Anita Jo Brooks and her husband, Scott, of Cyclone; three grandchildren, Sydney Beth Toler of Cyclone, Andrew Adkins of Clear Fork and James Adkins of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends of Lacoma Baptist Church. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lacoma Baptist Church, Cyclone, with the Revs. John McClung and Brent Franco officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Logan. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church and one hour before service Monday. Music for the service will be provided by the Revs. McClung and Franco and family members of the late Rev. Thomas Guy Walls. Pallbearers will be Brian Dean, Keefe Dean, Dan Phillips, Norman Walls, Phillip Rose, Craig Walls and Richard Brooks.
