ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - Minnie Frances Clower Aliff, 85, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, in Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center of Brunswick, Ga. Born Aug. 25, 1915, at Gatewood, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Henry Clower and Pearl Ella Clower. Mrs. Aliff attended Wesley United Methodist Church, St. Simons Island, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Herbert Aliff, on Jan. 19, 1992. Survivors include her daughter, Jean A. Clark of St. Simons Island, Ga.; six sisters, Mildred Clower of St. Albans, Margaret Christian and Cam Simpkins, both of Wilmington, Del., Virginia McDaniel and Jo Blake, both of Avon Park, Fla., and Meta Evans of Apex, N.C.; one brother, Archie Clower of Grass Lake, Mich.; one granddaughter, Jill N. Clark of St. Simons Island, Ga.; one grandson, Paul H. Clark of St. Simons Island, Ga.; and several nieces and ne-phews. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayette-ville, with the Rev. Gordon Humphreys officiating. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6520 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, Ga.
