Ellen Emogene Scicluna, 55, of Clear Creek, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999 in a Beckley hospital following a sudden illness. Born Nov. 30, 1943 at Clear Creek, she was the daughter of Genevie Atkins Ashley of Clear Creek and the late Clifford Ashley. Ms. Ashley was a homemaker and had lived most of her life at Clear Creek. She was a member of the Ewing Creek Community Church. Survivors include two sons, Clifford Scicluna of Northville, Mich. and Gino Scicluna and his wife, Jamie of Salem, Va.; a daughter, GinaMarie Stegall and her husband, Ronald of Roanoke, Va.; five grandchildren, Amanda Lamons, Joshua and Brianna Scicluna, Erica McDaniel, and Tyler Fairthorne; her companion, Joe Collins of Clear Creek, and his children, Patty Fairthorne and her husband, Don of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Timmy, Ira and Mary Jo Collins of Clear Creek; a brother, Clifton Ashley and his wife, Diane of Clendenin; two sisters, Rev. Loretta Taylor and her husband, Donald and A. Marie Lilly and her husband, E. Paul, both of Clear Creek. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Revs. Johnny Taylor and Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends called Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clifford and Gino Scicluna, Ron Stegall, Timmy and Ira Collins, and Richard Ashley.
