RONCEVERTE - Linda E. Austin, 68, passed away Monday, July 2, 2001, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born Aug. 17, 1932, at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Linwood and Alpha Feury Ratliff. Mrs. Austin was a member of the Ronceverte Christian Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Austin; two brothers, James Ratliff and Walter Ratliff; and a grandson, Todd Morgan. Survivors include two daughters, Debra A. Grimmett and husband, David, of Rainelle, and Susan A. Morgan and husband, Steve, of Ronceverte; four sons, Danny L. Austin of Fairlea, David M. Austin and wife, Missy, of Ronceverte, Dennis E. Austin and wife, Cheryl, of Ronceverte, and Darryl W. Austin and wife, Mealnie, of Ronceverte; a sister, Mable Horne and husband, Jay, of Mt. Home, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Nathan Arbaugh, Darin Austin, Tony Morgan, Brianna Austin, Jaried Austin, Alec Austin, Abby Grimmett, and Michael Jones; three great-grandchildren; and companion and friend, Samuel Hamrick. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Ronceverte, with the Rev. Julian Grubb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.
