April 1st, 1837
Meeting at the meeting house after singing and prayer by the Moderator proceed to business.

On mo by Br Daniel Shumate; Sister Judy Stover was received; her letter not being found.
3rd
On mo of Br John Shumate the Church resolved to hold Communion four times a year and that we comune on the fourth Sunday in this month.
4th
Brother John Shumate being instructed to buy a book for the Church Recording book which he did at 62 1/2 cents then adjourned to mete the fourth Sabath and Saturday before in this month.

On mo of Br Jos Ellison the Church ordered the Clerk to give Sister Mary McMillion a letter of dismission.

The Deacons excuse for not obtaining wine for communion was received.

On motion of Brother D Shumate the Church resolved to give by Jos Ellison a letter or recomendation then adjourned.

On motion by Br John Shumate Br Jos Ellison appointed Clerk protem

Grievance called for, none
3rd
On mo by Br John Shumate resolved that we do not fellowship Mr. Estep or countenance him as a Minister of the Gospel under existing circumstances.
4th
By mo of Br Daniel Shumate resolved that we endeavor to have preaching on our Church meeting days.

The Church met at the meeting house, prayer by the Moderator.

By motion of Br John Shumate; that Br M Ellison write our letter of correspondence to the Greenbrier Association and that brethern John A Shumate and Amos Shumate be our delegates to the Association. By motion of Br John Shumate we send one dollar and twenty cents to the same........... Hutchison that we send the request again to the Association for the ordination of Br M. Ellison and that a presbytery be appointed to set apart Br Matthew Ellison(if found qualified) to the Ministry of the Gospel.

On Lord's Day following Tollison Shumate received by letter.
On motion by Br Amos Shumate the Church instructed the Clerk to give Br Jas. Elye Ellison a letter of dismission on mo of Br Daniel Shumate the Church adjourned
