SAULSVILLE - The Lord called Betty Ann Cox Clay, 72, home on Saturday, June 30, 2001. Mrs. Clay was born April 6, 1929, in Wyoming County, and was a member of Saulsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Beatrice Halsey Cox; her husband, Henry Clay Jr.; and a sister, Pauline Blankenship. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Miller and her husband, Clyde, of Belleair, Fla., and Patty Clay of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Terry Clay and his wife, Donna, and Ray Clay and wife, Debby, all of Saulsville; five grandchildren, Cortney, Samantha, Savannah and Sene-tha Clay of Saulsville, and Bret Pinkerton of Belleair; five sisters, Margie Barnes of St. Charles, Mo., Jackie Cox, Delores Allen and Sue Strutman, all of St. Louis, and Kathy Clay of Saulsville; and three brothers, Dempsey "Mack" Cox of Hot Springs, Ark., Gene Cox of St. Louis and John Cox of Pineville. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saulsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Henry Clay Family Cemetery, Saulsville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
