CRAWLEY - Elmer Kessler Cochran, 87, went home to be with the Lord, July 26, 2001. Born March 25, 1914, at Williamsburg, he was the son of the late Harrison and Rachael Cochran. He was married to Emma Knapp on Dec. 17, 1936. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church, Keiffer. Mr. Cochran was a farmer, a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He is survived by his wife, Emma; a sister, Opal Truman of Rainelle; three sons, James and wife, Janet, of Bradenton, Fla., Ray of Rupert, and Fred and wife, Jill, of Quinwood; three daughters, Margaret and husband, Stan, of Bloomingrose, Janet and fiance, Harold Walkup, of Crawley and Jean and husband, Delmas, of Navarre, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Tammy Johnson, Mike Cochran, Lisa Briton, Linda Campos, Chris Childers, Allen Childers, Tim Childers, Kevin Rob-inson, Drew Cochran, Danny Cochran, Angela Kenney and Steve Kenney; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Leroy Crane and Gary Eisenman officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, and one hour before the service Sunday at the church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
