OAK HILL -- Vernie Tolley Coleman, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Nov. 28, 1918 at Landisburg, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Grace (Propps) Tolley. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker and attended Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Coleman and a daughter, Catherine Coleman. Survivors include a son, Walter Grant Coleman of Sevierville, Tenn.; two daughter, Ruth Mae Dilley of Fayetteville and Delma Sparks Keffer of Lively; two brothers, Raymond Tolley of Wadestown and William Tolley of Rainelle; a sister, Dorothy Kovach and her husband, Paul, of Harrisburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Peace, with the Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Entombment will follow.
