RAINELLE - Kenneth Ray Dixon, 62, died Monday, July 26, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Nov. 7, 1936, at McKendree, he was the son of the late Gladys Lilly Adkins and Harry Edward Dixon. Mr. Dixon was a retired self-employed woodworker, member of the Hilltop Baptist Church, Crab Orchard, member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge, attended Sewell Valley Baptist Church of Rainelle and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Freda Marie Dixon and Bertie Elizabeth Dixon; and two brothers, Yuhal George Dixon and Carlos E. Dixon Sr. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Collins, Angie Carter, and Kim Addair, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Malena "Sis" Bresenhan of Hines and Voneda Vandall of Stanaford; three brothers, Herbert "Bubby" Dixon of Nitro, Harry "H.E." Dixon Jr. of Rainelle and Clarence Dixon of St. Albans; four grandchildren, Ron, Elizabeth, Amanda and Autumn; and his loving companion, Karen Moore, and her children, James Clark and La'tifah. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Lewis Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
