Opal T. Doss, 85, of Beckley, formerly of Ameagle, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born July 10, 1913, at Dorothy, she was the daughter of Fred Stover and Suzie Seanze Stover. Mrs. Doss was a janitor and cook for Ameagle Grade School and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Doss; two sisters, Mildred Morrison and Joveline Bell; a halfsister, Nellie Toney; and two halfbrothers, Clinie Stover and Robert Seanze; and great-grandchildren, Dennis Cotts, Jodi Lynn Small, Honey Dawn Dillon and Mellissa Susan Dillon. Survivors includee a daughter, Gloria Coots of Ameagle; five grandchildren, Fred Coots and his wife, Sandy, of Dorothy, Ralph Coots and his wife, Judy, of Kettering, Ohio, Jo Ellen Small of Mt. Nebo, Debra Dillon and her husband, Jerry, of Ameagle, and Mark Coots and his wife, Aleida, of Fayetteville; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sycamore Free Pentecostal Church of God, with the Revs. Johnnie Burgess and Cecil McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 11 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements by Valley Funeral Home, Whitesville.
