Nola Loreda Lilly Farley, 83, of Cool Ridge, died at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 1999, in a Richmond, Va., hospital following a short illness. Born April 10, 1916, at Ellison Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson Levi Lilly and Mary Elizabeth Lilly. Mrs. Farley was a homemaker, a member of Old Path Primitive Baptist Church and had been a Cool Ridge resident most of her life. She was a devoted grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Farley; a daughter, Gladys I. Setliff; a granddaughter, Vickie Diane Pack; four brothers, Oris, Oliver, Floyd and Prince Lilly; and three sisters, Orpha Hatcher, Oakley Basham and Margaret Hatcher. Survivors include two sons, Roy E. Farley and his wife, Becky, of Cool Ridge and C. Emit Farley and his wife, Jeanette, of Cool Ridge; two daughters, Myrtle F. Pack and her husband, Don, of Cleveland and Barbara F. Chase and her husband, Ronald, of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Beecher Lilly of Akron, Ohio, and Granville Lilly of Coal City; two sisters, Cosby Farley of Hinton and Clarice Cox of Ellison Ridge; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with Elder Jason Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Farley Family Cemetery, Cool Ridge.
