Vonna Richmond Hart, 88, of Ellen Avenue, Blue Jay, died Friday, July 20, 2001, after a long and full life at home. Born May 29, 1913, at Blue Jay, she was the daughter of the late Milton C. and Nora Frances Pack Richmond. Mrs. Hart was a lifelong resident of the Blue Jay community; she was a member of the Daniels Bible Church. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter up to the end of her life; she also enjoyed her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Hart, on July 29, 1968; and two brothers, Wayne and Curtis Richmond. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Cooper and her husband, Jack, of Spring, Texas, and Lynn Lester and her husband, Howard, of Westover; two sons, Mac Hart and his wife, Judy, of Beckley and James W. Hart and his wife, Teresa, of Daniels; two brothers, Dean Richmond of Glen Morgan and Grant Richmond of Crow; eight grandchildren, Debbie Green, Chrissy Frith, Jamie French, Timothy Cooper, Scott Cooper, Mike Lester, Mark Lester, Mitch Lester; and 11 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Don Pfleger officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Ce-metery, Beckley.
