ERLANGER, Ky. -- Athnel Parrish Hendrick, 72, formerly of Glen White, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999 at her home following a long illness. Born April 9, 1926 at Surveyor, she was the daughter of the late George and Nettie Hutchinson Parrish. Mrs. Hendrick spent her childhood at Tolleytown and attended Trap Hill High School. She had been a resident of Erlanger the past twelve years and a retired clerk with Paul Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Jeep" Hendrick; two infant sons, Lee Edward and Michael Roy Hendrick; a sister, Edith McGhee; and a brother, Clarence Parrish. Survivors include two daughters, Karen "Susi" Kells and her husband, Jack of Edgewood, Ky. and Sharon Church of Erlanger; two sisters; Kathleen Lively and Naomi Hajash Holliday both of Beckley; two brothers, Clyde Parrish of Beckley and Eddie Parrish of Tampa, Fla; two grandsons, Matt Church of Crab Orchard and Brian Sturgill and his wife, Vanessa of Erlanger; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery on Tuesday morning. Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Melton Mortuary, where an evening service will be held at 8:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Parent and Eddie Hopkins officiating.
