FAYETTEVILLE - Jessie May Brake Jackson, 93, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., and Webster Springs, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Kay Marsh Lough, following a long illness. Born Oct. 10, 1907, in Skelt, Webster County, she was the daughter of the late James Hull Brake and Herminia Gobeli Brake. Mrs. Jackson was a Methodist and a retired bookkeeper for Keeton's Office Supply in Bradenton. She lived 46 years in Bradenton. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Brake, Russel Brake, Ray Brake and Paul Brake. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Marsh Lough and her husband, the Rev. Hayward Lough, of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Carolyn Carper of Spencer, Michael Lough of Virginia Beach, Va., Jon Lough of Richmond, Va. and Sandy Butler of Bradenton; and seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Hayward Lough officiating. Graveside committal service will be 3 p.m. at Rock Cave Cemetery.
