SCARBRO - William John Kinsler, 73, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, in an Oak Hill medical center following an apparent heart attack. Born March 26, 1926, in Mount Hope, he was the son of the late Anthony and Lucy Wingrove Kinsler. Mr. Kinsler was a disabled miner, retired from West Virginia State Road Commission (Division of Highways), attended First Church of God, Mount Hope, and was a member of the UMWA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oather Wingrove and Elvin Kinsler; and a sister, Katherine Craver. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Warwick Kinsler; a daughter, Wilma Conner and husband, Bennie, of Scarbro; three grandchildren, Benji Conner and Lynette Smith and her husband, Pete, all of Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Kimberly Conner and her fiancee, Brandon Stover, of Scarbro; two sisters, Marie Byers of Maryland and Louise Harper of Beckley; a half sister, Esther Ferrall of Baltimore; three brothers, Ralph Kinsler of Sun, Otto Kinsler of Sophia and Carl Kinsler of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope, with the Revs. Ronnie Stapleton and Richard Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
