WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Carlee Jackson Lilly, 77, formerly of Vienna, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at his home following a long illness. Born April 25, 1921, at Farley Hill, he was the son of the late William H. and Amanda Cooper Lilly. Mr. Lilly was a graduate of Collins High School. He was a World War II veteran serving on the submarine Pacific Fleet, a member of Coal City Masonic Lodge 156, a Shriner and a member of IBEW Union. He was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Lilly Jr. and a sister, June Elizabeth Lilly. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alice Hughes Lilly; two sons, Carlee Lilly II, and his wife, Jenny, of West Palm Beach, and Eric Lilly and his wife, Elisabeth, of Charleston; three grandchildren, Brenna, Wyatt, and Jackson; a brother, Clifton Lilly of Midway; and two sisters, Willie Mae Cole of Daniels and Anna Belle Fleshman of Beckley. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sophia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sterling Morgan officiating. Friends may call one hour before the services at the church.
