Charles Leonard Lilly Jr., 46, of Coal City, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at his home following a sudden illness. Born Feb. 19, 1952, at Josephine, he was the son of Goldie Meadows Lilly of Pickshin and the late Charles Lilly Sr. Mr. Lilly was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Paul Piercy; and three sisters, Barbara Lilly, Rebecca Lilly and Cora Penna. Survivors include his wife, Carla Piercy Lilly of Coal City; two daughters, Amanda Lilly and Ashley Lilly, both at home; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Dillon of Crab Orchard; four brothers, Allen Lilly and his wife, Julia, of Coal City, Jimmy Lilly and his wife, Drema, of Pickshin, Leslie Lilly and his wife, Betty, of Pickshin, and Doris Smith and his wife, Shirley, of Marion, Va.; six sisters, Oma McKinney and her husband, Roy, of Coal City, Ellen Ward and her husband, Bill, of Jessup, Ga., Mary Waldron and her husband, Paul, of Mt. Airy, N.C., Lisa Blevins and her husband, Oakley, of Pickshin, Serenna Parks of Dalton, Ga., Bertha Williamson and her husband, Charles, of Coal City; his mother-in-law, Shirley Piercy of Coal City; and a grandson, Dylan Paul Piercy of Crab Orchard. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Charles Chancey and the Rev. Frank Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Charles Lilly Cemetery, Mitchells Ridge. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Sophia. Pallbearers will be Daniel Woods, Freddy Ayers, Mike Dodson, Brady Lilly, Stephen McKinney, Willie Lilly and Roy Meador Jr. Arrangements by Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia.
