MOUNT HOPE - Alma Ganelle Patton Maynor, 91, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at an Oak Hill hospital following a short illness. Born May 29, 1910, at Paint Bank, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Mattie Sue Elmore Patton. Mrs. Maynor was a homemaker and a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert P. Maynor. Survivors include three daughters, Theodosia Eddy and her husband, Blaine, of Huntington, Sandra Riner of Fayetteville and Cuba Flory and her husband, Elmer, of Tipton, Iowa; three sons, Robert W. Maynor and his wife, Ila Mae, of Hico, R. Dean Maynor and his wife, Peggy, of Shady Spring and M. Max Maynor and his wife, Sally, of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Avis F. Smith of Ohio; two brothers, Perry Patton of Goldsboro, N.C., and Okey M. Patton of Dallas; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with the Rev. George Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
