PIPESTEM - Josie A. Neely, 82, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in the Glenwood Park Care Center, Princeton, following a long illness. Born June 17, 1916, in Pipestem, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Eliza Martin Neely. Miss Neely was a homemaker, and attended Cooks Chapel Regular Baptist Church as long as health permitted. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Jay, Billy Neely and an infant brother; three sisters, Irsley Neely Davis and Merle and Zell Neely. Survivors include close friends who helped care for her, Nellie Farley and Charles Wyant. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Levi Allen Neely Cemetery, Pipestem. Pallbearers will be Oswald Ellison, Fred Nichols, Charles Lilly, John Allen, Billy Webb, Roy Young, Denzel Lyons and Charles Farley.
