MOUNT HOPE -- Florence Alice Williamson Painter, 70, formerly of Beards Fork, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Oct. 17, 1927, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Dolly Buckland and George William Williamson Sr. Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Painter on June 19, 1987. Survivors include three sons, Jerry "Butch" Painter of Maiden, N.C., Tolbert "Toby" Painter and his wife, Tammy, of Cross Lanes, and Randy Painter, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Okinawa; three daughters, Colleen Pennington and her husband, Russell, of Oak Hill, Debbie Clark and her husband, Ken, of Cocoa, Fla., and Sheryl Miller and companion, Larry Ellison, of Hilltop; two brothers, the Rev. George Williamson Jr. of Princeton and Bobby Williamson of Clayton, Del.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be noon Saturday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev.
