PRINCETON - Datha Lilly Ransom, 95, of 125 Canyon Ave., died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born June 21, 1905, at Dunns, she was the daughter of the late Ali and Tennarie Mann Lilly. Mrs. Ransom was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1982 and spent her 95 years in Mercer, Raleigh and Summers counties. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey A. Ransom; two daughters, Dolla Joy Walker and Wanda Robinson; one infant son, Arthur Ray Ransom; three sisters, Myrtie Lilly Oakes, Jamie Lilly Pack and Loretta Lilly Hatcher; and two brothers, Audrey Lilly and Archie Lilly. Survivors include a daughter, Euna Milligan and husband, Jean, of Princeton, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Kevin Robinson and wife, Missy, of Winfield, Jamie Nunley and husband, Phillip, of Ashland, Ky., and Joyce Beason and husband, Kevin, of Huntsville, Ala.; five great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson; two sisters, Lorna Pack of Mineral Springs, and Flossie Ransom of Midway; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Dan Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Funeral Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The three grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
