Ruby Ann Caudill


Ruby Ann Caudill, 81, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 3, 2001. She passed away at her home in Marmet
She was born Aug. 19, 1920, at Clear Creek to Vena Stover and William Edgar Dunbar.
She was the widow of John W. Caudill, a retiree of the Dupont plant, Belle. They were married over 44 years at the time of his death on Feb. 15, 1984, and were residents of Chesapeake for over 30 years where they raised their family of six children. Their oldest son, John William Caudill II, died on Dec. 18, 1971, from injuries he received in an automobile accident.

Mrs Caudill was an active member of Chesapeake United Methodist Church, the Marmet AARP, and Marmet Senior Citizens. Her family was her life's work. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Cherishing her memory are: daughters, Mary Jane Bradshaw and her husband, Damron B. Bradshaw, Sue Ann Whittington and her husband, Wayne A. Whittington, Donna Caudill Legg, Janice L. Jenkins; son, Damon L. Caudill and his wife, Kimberly Hossler Caudill; her 12 grandchildren, Kim Scott Hall and her husband, Daniel L. Hall, John D. Scott III and his wife, Teresa Croye Scott, James H. Landers Jr. and his wife, Jill Scott Landers, Lori Scott Daugherty and her husband, L. DeWayne Daugherty, W. Todd Landers and his wife, Lora Gibson Landers, Randolph H. Legg and his wife, Laura Collins Legg, Angela D. Jenkins and her husband, V. Kyle Pack, Frank E. Jenkins and his wife, Mary Beth Johnson Jenkins, Ryan P. Landers, Abigail S. Legg, Anna M. Caudill, and A. Morgan Caudill; her 10 great-grandchildren, Derek A. Scott, J. Patrick Landers, Alicia J. Scott, Adam S. Daugherty, Nathaniel T. Hall, Alex S. Daugherty, Mary Jane Hall, Samantha M. Landers, Nicole G. Landers and Hunter M. Landers; her sisters, Glenna Painter, Belma McNeely and her husband, J. Carlton McNeely, and Ruth Kincaid and her husband, Roy Kincaid; her brother, G. Harold Dunbar and his wife, Carol; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial service will be noon Thursday, Sep. 6, at Chesapeake United Methodist Church, 131st Street, Chesapeake, with Pastor David M. Biondi and Pastor Charles Stevens officiating. Her eternal resting place will be in London Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Fidler & Frame Funeral Home, Belle.
