TURKEY CREEK -- Debra Lynn Shadd, 44, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, in the University of Virginia Medical Center, following a long illness. Born Aug. 20, 1954, in Mullens, she was the daughter of Edith Hall Daniels Miller of Brenton, and the late Graden Daniels. Mrs. Shadd was a member of the Brenton Baptist Church, and a 1972 graduate of Baileysville High School. She was employed as an equipment coordinator for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in Pineville, and a former employee of the First Community Bank, Robinson Phillips Coal Company and Island Creek Coal Company. She was an avid supporter of the Pineville Little League. Other survivors include her husband, Daniel Shadd; a daughter, Emily Shadd at home; a son, James (Duke) Shadd at home; and two sisters, Edith Hodges and her husband, Bill, of Lester, and Linda Harold and her husband, Paul, of Waldorf, Md. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palm Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Pineville. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hodges, Eric Harold, Mike, Zack and Caleb Cooper, Mike Robinson and Greg Bishop. Arrangements by Calfee Funeral Service, Pineville.
