COLUMBIA, S.C. - Myrtle Olivene Stone, 79, died Sunday, July 15, 2001. Born in Elbert, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lester and Ellen Jones Lester. Mrs. Stone was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Hammontree; a brother, Charles Lester; a grandchild, Cherie Stone; and a sister, Faye Morry; and a daughter, Geraldine Stone. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Phillip Sam Stone; sons, Phillip Sam Stone Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Waterboro, S.C., and Glen Stone and wife, Connie, of Blythewood, S.C.; grandchildren, Timothy Stone, Leah Dawson, Glen Stone Jr.; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Burriss and Jean Johnson, both of Ocala, Fla.; and a brother, Tommy Lester of Denver, N.C.
