TUCSON, Ariz. - Harold Franklin "Boo" Vandall, 66, formerly of Beckley, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, in his home following a long illness. Born May 2, 1933, in Danese, he was the son of the late Cecil Vandall and Margie Smith Vandall. Mr. Vandall was a retired employee of Magma Copper Mines in Arizona and a 37 year resident of Tucson, Ariz. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served as a paratrooper. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Tucson and of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Vandall. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Janice Wood Vandall; a daughter, Catherine F. Meyer and her husband Dr. Robert F. Meyer of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, James C. Vandall of St. David, Ariz.; an adopted sister, Bobbie Jane Rutherford of Beckley; and a granddaughter, Heather L. Meyer of Tucson, Ariz. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with Brother Bobby Paugh officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel of Hope. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Larry Mitchell, Pat Meadows, Glen Vandall, Hilton Gwinn, Johnson Wood Jr. and James Wood will serve as pallbearers.
