CHARMCO - Emzie Scott Walton, 75, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, following a long illness. She had been a resident of Heartland of Rainelle for the past three years. Born Nov. 5, 1925 at Renick, she was the daughter of the late Winters and Elizabeth Jane Cochran Scott. Mrs. Walton was a member of the Lilly Valley Baptist Church of Rainelle and was a homemaker. Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by her husband George Alva Walton Sr. in 2000; two sons, Gene Austin and Justin Cash Walton; two sisters Net Martinia and Mable Scott, and two brothers, Clifford and John Scott Survivors include seven daughters, Mamie Ann Definbaugh of Ronceverte, Mary Jane Harvey of White Sulphur Springs, Betty Gail Cales of Rupert, Nina Lee Cales of Pipestem, Kathy Sue Simms of Hines, Wanda Mae Macy of Kernersville, N.C, and Della Ruth Cayton of Kernersville, N.C.; four sons, Joe Junior Walton of Hinton, Robert Lee Walton of Rupert, Laddie Allen Walton of Kernersville, N.C., and George Alva Walton, Jr. of Hickory, N.C.; one sister, Grace Church of Akron Oh.; one brother, Joe Scott of White Sulphur Springs; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001 at the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with the Rev. Don Bean officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. to day at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wallace and Wallace of Rainelle.
