Elsie Williams, 73, of Pineville, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998 at her residence following a long illness. Born Feb. 22, 1925, at Neola, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Verdie Smith Donelson. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of the Pineville Church of the Nazarene. She was a longtime resident of Pineville. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley Stewart; and a great-grandson, Tony Ryan Aliff. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Russell L. Williams; three daughters, Elizabeth Mullins and her husband, James of Jacksonville, Texas, Debbie Stewart and her husband, Tommy of Pineville and Loran Michelle Whittaker of Beckley; a sister, Edna Marie Sloan of Keyrock; a niece, Linda Craft of Keyrock; and three grandchildren, Tabetha Mullins Tipton, Anthony and Jason Aliff. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pineville Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. LeRoy Davis officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley.
