Mary J. Wilson

LEWISBURG - Mary Juanita Wilson, 100, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at her home. Born Aug. 5, 1900, at Valley View, Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Adam Jehu and Sarah Bettie Tuckwiller Wilson. Miss Wilson was a teacher in the Greenbrier area with 35 years of service. She graduated from Lewisburg Seminary School, Morgantown High School and attended West Virginia Unviersity and Longwood College at Farmville, Va. She was a member of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter NSDAR, the Retired Teachers Association, and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors include her nieces, Bettie S. Woodward of Lewisburg, Genevieve W. Friedman of Bridgewater, Va., Sara W. McDonnell of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Ann W. McClung of Lewisburg, Marian W. Brannan of Pittsburgh and Frances W. Creel of Yorktown, Pa.; a nephew, Dr. John R. Wilson of Lewisburg; 17 grandnieces and nephews; and nine great-grandnieces and nephews. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Gourley officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Church Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, c/o Ruth Sweet, 220 S.
