The WVGenWeb
Project, which is part of The USGenWeb Project, is an effort to organize genealogical materials
on the Internet at the county level.

The goal
is to provide a web site for each county in West Virginia, maintained by volunteers.

The WVGenWeb
Project has also created an Archives which will serve as a repository for the transcription
of public records. Volunteers are needed in all phases of the project.
