Mrs. Martin Tighe

Early last Thursday, Mrs. Martin Tighe, of the South Side, passed away after a long illness from Brights disease. The deceased was in her 78th year, was a native of Ireland, but came to America at an early age and has resided in Grafton over half a century. She was a good wife and mother and was highly regarded by her neighbors.

Her husband and six children survive her. The children are as follows: Martin J., of Parkersburg; Stephen, of Palmer, W. Va.; Thos. of Grafton; Mrs. Robert Burnett, of Fairmont; Mrs. Ella Robeck, of Wheeling, and Mrs. Francis Lazell, of Pittsburg.

The funeral took place from the Catholic Church on Saturday morning. After the solemn services for the dead, Rev. Father McElligott paid an eloquent tribute to the deceased lady. Burial took place in Mt. Cavalry cemetary with undertaker McCabe in charge.
