I'm looking for information about a Hugh EVANS Jr. b. 1813, m. Sarah CARROLL. His father was Hugh EVANS, b. 11 Sep 1770 and married to a Sarah THOMAS. His father was an Edward EVANS b. 1770 in Maryland I believe. I think Edward was married twice,one wife being a Sarah WOOD. Hugh, Jr.lived near Pruntytown. I'll appreciate any help you can give me.

Am looking for information on NEWLONs living near Pruntytown in 1840's. My grgrandmother was Caroline NEWLAND in the family bible but NEWLON on marriage info. She married Archibald LEACH in 1840 in Harrison County.

Seeking Information on James W. HILLARD. He lived in Pruntytown until he entered service in the Civil War. There he served the 6th WV Infantry Co. K. After service, he moved to Philippi, Barbour Co.

We have a Mary HART b.ca 1830 Pa. who m William HAWKINS in Wetzel Co WV sometime before 1848. The 1840 Tyler Co. census lists a James, a John, and a William HART. In 1850 James and William are still in Tyler Co. while there is a John C. HART listed in Wetzel Co.. Also there is a Elmore HART listed in Harrison Co., WV in the 1840 census. There were alot of HART's in the Tyler Co. area also including Doddridge Co., Marion Co., and Monongalia Co and Taylor Counties. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Rawley (or Rolly) BARKER b. 1816 and his wife Casandra HARR are in the 1860 and 1870 Taylor Co. census. They had children Levi BARKER b. 1836 md Dephia GREATHOUSE, John or James BARKER b. 1838, Nicey Ann BARKER b. 1840 md. ?GREATHOUSE, Alcinda BARKER md. David LITTLE. Also siblings David, Augustus, Sylvester, Casandra and Rawley BARKER all born between 1846 and 1852. Would like to exchange details on this family.

Zackwell (or Zackquill) BARKER was b. 1847. His wife was named Mathilda Jane. They are in the 1880 Taylor Co. census with children Elsey A. BARKER b. 1874 and William BARKER b. 1880. Would like death dates for all and names of spouses.

Seeking info on my ggrandfather Edward BENNETT that shows up on 1900 soundex in Taylor Co. with wife Gerethy Melvina COTTRILL BENNETT and 4 children, Fred, Mable, Dell and Martin. A brother of Edward, Charles L. BENNETT was also living in the household. soundex says "owns own farm Mgt., of farm schedule 30"?   Edward, son of Fransis and Sarah BENNETT, b. 1863 married twice, (1) Alla Martha COTTRILL and (2) Gerethy Melvina COTTRILL, which I believe were sisters. Would like information on George C. FLEMING b. 1815. He was a Colonel in the Confederate, while his second son George was serving in the Union Army. He was married to Livina or Luvina POOLE b. 1820. The village of Flemington was named in his honor. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
