My dad went to work the last time on December 3rd on the hootowl shift and
never came home again. He worked at Snap Creek Coal in Rita WVa as a
buggyman and was a coal miner all of his short life. He left my mother and 6
children.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about it and as I have
approached and passed the age of my father when he died, I look at my
children who will never see their grandfather and myself who really never got
to know him and try to take solace that God has the answers and these issues
will be resolved only when we meet our Maker.
To my mother who raised 6 kids on her own and did an extraordinary job;
Thank God for mothers like you.......God is watching
