My dad Kennard Austin lived in Colcord WV. He was awarded Silver Star, Bronze Star and Cluster, Purple Heart and Cluster. Combat Infantry Badge, Unit Presidential Citation, ETO Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was the son of Charles Columus Austin and Oma Inez Blizzard Withrow Austin. Oma was a sister to William "Bill" Blizzard of Cabincreek UMW president .
