Clyde Edward Holcomb
born: July 26, 1907 in Holcomb, West Virginia. Died June 12, 1965 after
being fatally injured when the top fell in on the Black Diamond Mine,
in Summersville, West Virginia on June 11, 1965. He was inspecting the
mine at the time of the accident. His wife Beulah Ethel Davis Holcomb
preceded him in death by six months. He left behind his daughters:
Margaret Ann Holcomb Morris, Herietta Holcomb Harris, and Roberta Lynn
Holcomb Propst. He was much loved by his family and friends. He was
respected and admired by the miners. Clyde is buried at the
Walnut Grove Church Cemetery near Widen, West Virginia,beside
his beloved wife. He is missed by his children and grandchildren.
