Okey Warren Cobb was killed in a slate fall inside the mine at Ward, West 
Virginia on December 23, 1918.  This accident occurred just four days after 
the death of his just born son, Okey Warren Cobb, Jr., December 19, 1918.

The father left a wife and six young children.  She ran a boarding home in 
Cedar Grove and took in laundry to support the family, until her death in 
December 1948.  Remarkably, her son (my father), Charles William Cobb also 
died in the month of December in 1976.

Okey and Agnes' children: Eulah Marie Cobb; Irvin Howard Cobb; Eunice 
Madeline Cobb, Charles William Cobb, Ruth Elaine Cobb and Okey Warren Cobb, 
Jr.
