Gary Wayne Quarles

Gary Wayne Quarles, 33, of Naoma, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 5, 2010, in a mining accident at Performance Coal Company.
He was born on July 1, 1976, in Charleston, W.Va., the son of Gary and Patty Quarles of Naoma.
Gary was a loving and caring father and son and enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers with his dad and children. He always had a smile on his face and everyone loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Lorrine Quarles and Mary Peters.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his two children, Trevor and Rabekka Quarles; grandfather, Norman Peters and wife, Sandy, of Naoma; extended family includes Debra Quinn, Billy Quinn, Donna Gunnoe, Ricky Gunnoe, Lisa Williams, Kenny Quarles, Penny Quarles, Lee and Lisa Miller, Anita and John Price, Kay and Jackie Miller, Francis and John Coffey, Diane Dickerson and Gary Williams Jr.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the Sylvester Baptist Church, Sylvester, with the Revs. David Cook and Ricky Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineview Cemetery at Orgas.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the church.
