Ricky Workman

Ricky Workman of Colcord went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 5, 2010, in a mining accident at Performance Coal Company, Naoma.
He was born July 4, 1959, in Sundial and was a son of the late Clark Workman and Almira Bearfield.
He loved playing with his kids and grandchildren. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved go-cart and nitrous car racing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Figuaro and Linda Tucker; and two brothers, Jerry Belcher and Pat Belcher.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Annette Workman; three daughters, Monica White and husband, Wally, of Colcord, Heather Whitt and husband, Willie, of Colcord and Chantal Hale of North Carolina; six sisters and brothers, Clark Workman and wife, Marge, and Edie Cawdell and husband, Pat, all of North Carolina, Brenda Barnett and husband, Sommer, of Ohio Linda Williams and husband, Ronnie, and Judy Dickens and husband, Jr., all of Beckley, and Diane Murray and Sandy Glass of Whitesville; six grandchildren, Hailey, Isaiah, Tyler, Cameron, Amara, and Ethan; and many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Services will be held at noon Friday, April 16, at Clear Fork Worship Center , Artie, with the Rev. Greg Scarbro officiating. Burial will be in Burrell Branch Cemetery , Clear Creek.
Friends may call from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, is in charge of arrangements.
