Cabin Creek, WV

Contributed by: Jack Spencer

Around 1910, the man who was to become my step-grandfather (the only grandfather I ever had, and the best man I ever knew) killed a coal company guard and had to run. Not even the coal company's reach found him in, Dugger, Indiana!
Dad's two sisters married W.Va. men, so our entire family was in W.Va.. We visited every summer as I was growing up in the 1930s. One of dad's sisters married the man who was the Superintendent of the mine up at the beginning of, Cabin Creek.
